Legend has it that hell hounds are a mystical creature capable of reshaping the land, wiping out entire ecosystems at a time. They have a strong association with volcanoes, and some debatable tablets have claimed to have seen a massive, wolf-like animal swimming in the lava lakes of Pompeii. But nobody really believes that. On the event it does exist, it seems to come from the depths of hell with a fiery lava, and making contact with it would probably result in instant death.
